When you're looking through your scope, the reticle should stay at the same spot on the target, no matter what angle you're looking into the objective lens from. Check to ensure enough distance remains between your eye and the lens at high magnification, but also that an acceptable distance remains at low power. These hunting scopes include lens diameters that range from 32 millimeters to 50 millimeters. SWFA's SS (short for Super Sniper) line of rifle scopes are of an incredibly high quality, yet are lesser known than some other brands. The reticle is the target or crosshair design on a lens which allows you to sight-in your target. Mil reticles typically come with a finer adjustment that allows you to set your windage and elevation a bit more precisely, but they can be difficult to use for those who aren't super familiar with the metric system. While there are many thermal scopes out there, they all fall into two basic categories. The Above T14X thermal scope videos were submitted by our hog hunting customer with the internal SD card recording mode set on fast compression. The shoulder of the scope is where the diameter increases to hold the objective lens. Understanding some of the more basic terms will not only help you to know which scopes fit your personal needs, but they will also make rifle scope product descriptions and reviews easier to comprehend. The larger the objective lens is, the more light that can enter the scope. http://scopezen.com
